Gladius for a Gladiator

Gladius for a Gladiator will be my very first Unity3D game. I've been experimenting with Unity3D for about 7-8 months by now, and wanted to really make a game.

The models in this game will be produced in Blender, and textured in Photoshop CS5. I'm not doing this alone, there are a few other people helping me with Gladius for a Gladiator.

I started this blog to raise money to invest in the game, hope you will donate!

Let it rain.. leaves?

Last week I started working on some particle systems, like falling leaves for in the forest.

I first gave the particles some gravity, so they fall towards the ground. The next step was to let the leaves react to windzones. I gave the particles a size over lifetime-curve, starting with size 0 and ending with size 0. I did this to not just let the particles disappear from one frame to another, but let the size decrease gradually.

The leaves are low poly meshes with a alpha texture on them. I made 3 different materials, al with textures, from CG Textures. This site is very useful for free textures, they even have tiled textures!
