Gladius for a Gladiator

Gladius for a Gladiator will be my very first Unity3D game. I've been experimenting with Unity3D for about 7-8 months by now, and wanted to really make a game.

The models in this game will be produced in Blender, and textured in Photoshop CS5. I'm not doing this alone, there are a few other people helping me with Gladius for a Gladiator.

Minimap, version 1.0

Today I started with scripting a minimap. I set up a camera with orthographic view, played a bit with the parameters and found the good values for these parameters.

I wanted to add a camera mask, a mask around the camera that makes it possible to have any shape of viewport, instead of the default rectangle. I didn't know how to do that, and found on the forums that it's not possible without Unity Pro. But after a while I found a Youtube video that explains how to do this in Unity Free!




The GUI looks a bit better now, but still needs a lot of improvement.
