It wasn't realistic enough and it just didn't feel right. I searched the internet and met someone on the Unity Forums, Gobla. He's dutch, just like me, and gave me some tips on making a realistic terrain like his:
- Begin with the height, then texture painting, then grass, then flowers etc. and last but not least the trees.
- Don't use billboard on grass (Do use it on flowers), and paint a lot of them.
- The color of the grass, which you can tweak, needs to be somewhat uniform to the ground texture.
- Finish cliffs with another cliff texture.
- Non realistic edges can be made realistic by rocks from, for example, Blender3d.
So while keeping this in mind I made this terrain:
Now it al looks a lot better than first, thanks Gobla! |
