My plan was to first script the base, and later on realize a photorealistic environment, just like
Drunken Lizard. But I first needed a low poly test environment. So I made the
domi, murus (Latin for wall) and
amphitheatre in blender and imported them as .fbx files in unity and saved them as assets, in a low poly folder.
I created a terrain and did some quick mountains with the terrain tools and gave them a texture. I also painted the road, but wile I was doing that I realized I probably needed to model the road as an separate object too. On the road I added some pillars, carefully named everything in the hierarchy and the low poly map was ready.
